We work to build good relations between Poles, Jews, Ukrainians, and Germans, as well as Catholics, Evangelicals, Orthodox Christians, Judaism, and non-believers. We work together, seeking what unites us and discussing our differences.
Since the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the Dobry Grunt Foundation has been involved in helping refugees, focusing on activities in the field of culture, establishing, together with the Ukrainian Action of the Catholic Intelligentsia Club, the project FACES OF LIGHT. POLISH-UKRAINIAN MEETINGS OF CREATORS OF SACRED ART. We organize plein-air painting workshops, exhibitions, concerts, charity auctions, and prayer meetings, enabling Ukrainian artists to work. Our collaborative work provides funding for therapeutic camps for the children and wives of Ukrainian soldiers killed or wounded in the war.
The Foundation has developed extensive activities in the field of art patronage, primarily sacred art. We engage in the social debate on sacred art. We organize seminars and are preparing to publish a book summarizing this debate.
We initiated and co-financed the Christ Pantocrator mosaic in the Church of Blessed Edward Detkens in Warsaw's Bielany district, created by the outstanding mosaicist Professor Alexander Kornoukhov, who left Russia for Georgia in protest against the war.
We care about the memory of the heroes of Polish history and their works. We help preserve cultural heritage.
The Foundation also publishes. Among other publications, we have published Bronisław Traczyński's Memoirs, an extraordinary story about the five-year journey of a young geometer in military service, along the Siberian Railway, from Kizyl-Arvat to Manchuria. It tells the story of encounters with people, wildlife, and customs...
The funder of the Dobry Grunt Foundation is the Geotest Sp. z o.o., which has supported us financially since our begining, providing us with space for meetings and discussions. We are also supported by private donors.
We thank all donors, both near and far. We thank you for your generosity, curiosity, interest, and trust. Your generosity allows us to do our work.
Thank you for being with us and for your presence with us on social media.
