About the Foundation

We are a group of friends. We were united by the need to give, the search for beauty in every person, the search for beauty in art, the search for what unites…

For many years we have been working effectively in the area of culture, charity and dialogue between religions. We organize concerts, exhibitions, film screenings. Our guests were Alicja Paleta - Bugaj, Tomasz Bugaj, Adam Ferency, Aleksandra Bugaj, Antonina Krzysztoń, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Adam Strug, Jacek Kleyff and many others.

A special figure that unites us is the person of Samuel Willenberg: Israeli artist, prisoner of Treblinka, participant of the Warsaw Uprising. We want to present him to the world and carry his message.

The Good Ground Foundation is a patron of art, primarily icons, but promotes artists from other fields of culture too. The Foundation is actively involved in care for the harmony and beauty of the sacred space by organizing seminars and meetings.

Actions supporting the Ukraine

Actions supporting the victims of the war in Ukraine. In cooperation with the Catholic Intelligentsia Club in Warsaw we organized auction of icons - religious paintings of Polish and Ukrainian artisans. All the proceeds from this auction were donated to the organization of therapeutic and recreational retreats for Ukrainian children whose fathers were killed or wounded in the war. Co-organisation of the exhibition Faces of War at the Norblin Factory in Warsaw. Funding a generator for the Ukrainian city of Kolomyi.

Prayer for peace

Together with the Catholic Intelligentsia Club in Warsaw we organized the worldwide prayer for peace in Ukraine and around the world. Invitation to this prayer went to all the christian communities, Greek church, Catholic, Orthodox and Evangelical churches.

Icon exhibitions, painting workshops and seminars

Together with the Catholic Intelligentsia Club in Warsaw on initiative of Mateusz Środoń we organize the artistic workshops of painting the icons, involving Polish and Ukrainian (refugees from Ukraine) artists of religious art. Our workshops, exhibitions and seminars that accompany them are at the same time initiating a broader dialogue on restoration of the sacred art in Poland. So far, we have shown our icons at exhibitions in Warsaw, Kraków, Częstochowa, Supraśl and Oświęcim.

Icon with the blessed Ulm family

Organizing, together with the Catholic Intelligentsia Club in Warsaw, pilgrimage to Markowa to participate in the celebration of the beatification of the Ulm Family. The pilgrimage was preceded by a joint vigil before the image of the blessed Ulm family by Mateusz Środoń, which was then donated to the Museum of Poles Saving Jews During World War II in Markowa.

Restored monument of the Virgin Mary

Saving monuments, integrating and strengthening cooperation of local communities and descendants of former residents committed to preserve the historical memory. We have initiated a project to restore the chapel in the Municipality of Dąbrowa Zielona, and care of the old manorial park. We are working towards mounting a plaque commemorating the Tymowski family in the Church of St. Anne near Przyrów.
